PROGRAM NOTES:
Piece for Bassoon, Violin, Viola and Cello explores my interest in creating aural collages of miniature pieces, while finding fun ways to connect the different sections. Beyond the novelty of the unusual instrumentation of the piece, the music has moments of wavelike dynamics, chaotic tension, repetition to the point of annoyance, perhaps beyond the point, and an overall mysterious, yet playful, feel to it.
