PERFORMANCE NOTES
This piece, written for the Archaea Tree Ensemble, is a musical collage, the sections of which are connected by a rhythmic pulse. It draws on my influences of eastern music, indigenous world music and avante-garde jazz. Overlapping, repeated events create random sounding counterpoint where the downbeat is obscured. The dreamy meditative sections lead into a celebratory finale.
