Program Notes:
Piece for Horn and Piano is meant to be moderately challenging for the horn student, especially in regards to rhythm, tone quality, breath control and unusual interval leaps. Musically, the composition juxtaposes playfully childlike tonality, sinister atonal sounds, and a daydreamy ethereal mood, in the various different sections. Some of the themes overlap towards the end, and return in a slightly different guise.
